Short Circuit - Buying the Farm
A Piper PA 28-140 aircraft departed Brantford, Ontario, on a local pleasure flight. The aircraft proceeded to Bright, Ontario, where the pilot’s friend has farm acreage. The aircraft was observed to circle the property and conduct a low fly-by. Witnesses observed the pilot wave to them and then saw the aircraft contact rising terrain during the fly-by. The aircraft bounced three times and struck a line of trees bordering the farm property. The pilot and passenger were fatally injured and the aircraft was substantially damaged. Any questions?
